Nightwing #22

Nightwing #22 #comic reviewWhile Tiger Shark works behind the scenes to further his influence in Bludhaven, Nightwing has a more immediate problem with the arrival of Blockbuster, however things aren’t exactly what they appear to be.

The introduction of a new Blockbuster, whose motives are far more complex than the last one, certainly adds a wild card to events in Dick Grayson‘s adopted hometown. There are certainly big questions here: can Nightwing trust the new Blockbuster, just what is the man’s end game, and if Blockbuster isn’t the threat which Tiger Shark set in motion for the city’s hero than what is?

While a bit of a D-lister, Tiger Shark does present an opportunity for writer Tim Seeley to revamp the character into a major threat (remember, the Kingpin was largely a joke before Frank Miller got his hands on him). The peak into Dick’s personal life is also a nice touch. For the first time in awhile, I’m curious to find out where Nightwing’s adventures take him. Worth a look.
