If you don’t know what an “American Girl” is, you are not this film’s target audience. If you do, you should feel right at home. The doll line which has spawned books, magazines, and memorabilia all for young girls, now has it’s first film. And, somewhat surprisingly, for a film based on a series of dolls it’s got a good heart and a nice message many young girls, as well as some parents, should enjoy.
