The latest from Tyler Perry involves a pair of old friends (Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard) on a road trip dealing with secrets and scandals of their families.  Sanaa Lathan, Cole Hauser, Rockmond Dunbar, KaDee Strickland, Taraji P Henson, and Robin Givens also star.  Could this be okay?  I guess I’ll never know as Lionsgate steadfastly refuses to screen Perry’s films for critics.  The film opens wide on Friday.  Larger trailer available in the Full Diagnosis.

DNC 2008 - Gov Brian Schweitzer

Aaron, and our pals over at ‘buddha kept you in touch with the major speeches from this year’s DNC.  But, if all you watched was the prime time coverage of the convention you missed a few speeches (click here for more).  With that in mind here’s Governor of Montana, Brian Schweitzer, discussing the election, bi-partisanship, alternative energy, and America’s dependency of fossil fuels.  It’s worth a look!  Larger version available inside the Full Diagnosis.

  Look Forward

Looking ahead to next February, here comes Wonder Woman.  DC Universe, who has given us the disappointing Superman: Doomsday (read the review) and hit Justice League: New Frontier out of the park (read that review) now turns its attention on the Amazon from Themyscira.  The direct-to-video film features Keri Russell as the voice of Diana and Nathan Fillon as crash-landed pilot Steve Trevor.  (If it’s as good as the pair’s last project, we should be pleased).  Other voices include Alfred Molina, Rosario Dawson, Virginia Madsen, and Oliver Platt.  Check out the trailer inside the Full Diagnosis, and start looking for it on both DVD and Bluray on February 9th.
