Pretty Little Liars - The DArkest Knight

The series’ final mid-season finale may not deliver the identity of A.D. (although we can cross two more possibilities off the list), but it does offer its share of moments and secrets revealed heading into the hiatus before Pretty Little Liars returns for its final ten episodes next spring. Hanna‘s (Ashley Benson) disappearance forces the Liars to get the police involved and let the authorities know about Noel Kahn‘s (Brant Daugherty) connection to the Doll House and A. As everyone believes Kahn has kidnapped Hanna the reverse is actually true, although the outcome will be far different than the Liar planned.

Pretty Little Liars - Hit and Run, Run, Run

Dealing with the immediate fallout of Elliot‘s (Huw Collins) death, the Liars bury the doctor’s body and spend the entire night and early morning attempting to wipe away any traces of their connection to his disappearance. With Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) both in shock the other Liars will have to step-up to get the job done. However, that’s easier said than done as things start going wrong with the plan early as Aria (Lucy Hale) has trouble sneaking Allison back into the hospital and the weight of the night’s events, plus the sudden rocky relationship with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), force Spencer (Troian Bellisario) to implode.

Pretty Little Liars - Tick-Tock, Bitches

Pretty Little Liars begins its Seventh Season with Hanna (Ashley Benson) the prisoner of A.D. and the rest of the Liars given 24 hours to find Charlotte‘s real killer if they ever want to see their friend alive again. Stopped from going to the police by the sudden appearance of Mary Drake (Andrea Parker), the twin sister of Jessica DiLaurentis who the Liars believe but can’t prove is the one holding Hanna, the group races against the clock to find some proof that the the most logical suspect, Alison (Sasha Pieterse), killed Charlotte.

  • Title: Pretty Little Liars – Season Six
  • wiki: link

Pretty Little Liars - The Complete Sixth SeasonMuch like the Sixth Season of The Mentalist, Pretty Little Liars makes the unusual choice to break-up a single season into two separate parts with the first wrapping up the long-running mystery of the series and the second setting up the final season-and-a-half of new situations and newtrouble for our characters. The mid-season mark culminates in the (somewhat disappointing) reveal and capture of CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray) as A. It’s obvious that the show’s writers had chosen the character to be their villain early in the show’s run and chose to stick to their guns, but the lack of Cece’s impact in recent years made her choice an odd one six seasons into the series.

Highlights of the first-half of the season include each of the Liars struggling to deal with their captivity after being captured by A at the end of the previous season, the Liars going to prom, A turning Aria‘s (Lucy Hale) photography exhibit into another attack at the girls, and the Liars‘ search for evidence that Charles DiLaurentis is still alive (which leads to the revelation that Charles and CeCe are the same person).

Pretty Little Liars - Hush, Hush, Sweet Liars

Sorry, I don’t get it. The Sixth Season of Pretty Little Liars comes to a close with the plan of the Liars to capture the new A backfiring (like their plans usually do) leading to Hanna (Ashley Benson) being taken by their adversary. The finale’s big reveal takes place first under the ruins of Radley and later at the remains of Caleb‘s (Tyler Blackburn) trap as we learn Alison’s mother has a twin sister, Mary Drake (Andrea Parker), who is the real mother of Charlotte. Apparently she’s been working with Elliot (Huw Collins) this entire time to steal Alison’s 51% share of the Carissimi Group. This explains the sudden gaslighting of Alison by her husband and aunt (admittedly creepy and effective, but should have started weeks ago), but not the torturing of the Liars themselves (as it seems the an extremely unlikely way to solve Charlotte’s murder).
