iZombie - Reflections of the Way Liv Used to Be

With the show’s Second Season finale looming, things certainly pick up in “Reflections of the Way Liv Used to Be.” Not only has Major (Robert Buckley) turned back into a zombie, but his secret work for Max Rager is discovered by both Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Bozzio (Jessica Harmon). By the end of the episode zombie Major is under arrest under suspicion of being a serial killer and headed to prison where his current zombie status creates a serious problem for everyone involved.

As for the brain of the week, giving the episode its title Liv (Rose McIver) chows down on brains of a murdered academic leading to her acting more like her pre-zombie self. She also confesses the truth about her missing boyfriend to Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) as another cop (and Veonica Mars alumni) will play an important role in the episode with the return of Enrico Colantoni as Detective Lou Benedetto.

And if all that isn’t enough there’s still the drama unfolding the secret basement of Max Rager, Major’s frozen zombie army, a befuddled Blaine (David Anders) struggling to come to terms with the kind of man he was, the return of Liv’s former frat pals, and Peyton (Aly Michalka) still struggling with the case which could make or break her career. All that plus we even get a Rob Thomas joke (no, the other one). Next week’s double-sized season finale should be quite interesting.
