Killjoys - The Lion, the Witch & the Warlord TV review

The celebration of Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) reaching Level 5 soon turns sour when other RAC agents appear to take the Killjoy in on a warrant for his arrest for the murder of Delle Seyah Kendry (Mayko Nguyen). While needing a place to hide and allies to fight the Hullen, Pree (Thom Allison) escorts Johnny and Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) to the world of Ferran (who aren’t as glad to see the former leader as he hoped), leaving D’Avin (Luke Macfarlane) and new girl to track down the breadcrumbs that Kendry is still alive and a member of the Hullen.

While the tone of the episode is a bit all over the place, “The Lion, the Witch & the Warlord” proves to be fun in revealing some of the hidden past of Pree and pitting Johnny and Dutch against each other in a series of contests to save their friend’s life and earn the help of the Ferran. D’Avin has some revelations of his own as he gets his first look at Aneela and confirms Kendry is still alive. While that proof of her surviving Johnny’s attempted murder isn’t enough to pull the warrant, the Hullen rescind the order as it shines light where they don’t want it… at least not yet.
