Killjoys - The Wolf You Feed television review

The nature of Dutch‘s (Hannah John-Kamen) connection to both Khlyen (Rob Stewart) and Aneela (John-Kamen) has been one the show’s writers have kept close to the vest, until now. With the help of Zeph (Kelly McCormack), Dutch undergoes a risky medical procedure which allows her to see into the memories of Aneela allowing the Killjoy to discover the nature of Khlyen’s relationship with her more evil and unstable doppelganger and better understand what led Klein to rescue her all those years ago. Like most of the show’s reveals, it’s about as bizarre as possible. And answers she finds only raises further questions for Dutch and who and what she is.

With Dutch off in never-never land and D’Avin (Luke Macfarlane) struggling to keep the fragile peace of Dutch’s makeshift army together despite the actions of Turin (Patrick Garrow), “The Wolf You Feed” has an extra subplot set-up for Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) who has to go into full geek mode to find out what Zeph and Dutch are up to and step-in at just the right moment to save his best-friend from herself (as he did once before all those years ago). “The Wolf You Feed” is a fun episode that fills in several gaps of the show’s history (even if the first meeting of Johnny and Dutch, who had not yet become a Killjoy, seems a bit off given the previously-established continuity).
