Legends of Awesomeness - A Tigress Tale

Mistress Mugan (April Winchell), one of the most important and revered Kung Fu masters in all of China, makes an unexpected visit to the Jade Palace looking for a replacement for the head warrior of the Garnett Palace. Much to the surprise of the rest of the Furious Five, an increasingly frustrated Tigress (Kari Wahlgren) is won over by the fish’s sales pitch of “absolute discipline and dedication to Kung Fu.”

A shocked Po (Mick Wingert) realizes it’s his behavior and the general change in tone of the Jade Palace since his arrival that Tigress is running away from. Tigress begins her new life with her harsh master who demands utter perfection from her warriors, an impossible search for perfection that broke her last champion Wu Yong (Keone Young). Even after understanding her mistake, Tigress finds herself trapped in the Garnett Palace and bound to a master who will not stop until she breaks yet another Kung Fu Master.

Po realizes the only one who has a chance to bring her home is the Dragon Warrior, and so he journeys alone to the Garnett Palace only to discover his friend is a prisoner in her new home. Eventually, with the help of Po and Wu Yong, Tigress manages to escape and return home at last learning there is more to life than just Kung Fu. The episode has a nice arc for Tigress (even if Po seems to devolved a bit back into his pre-Dragon Warrior days) as well as some unusual, and pretty awesome, fighting sequences involving Mugan and her various bowls of water.
