Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness - Enter the Dragon

The special hour-long episode of “Enter the Dragon” pits Po (Mick Wingert) and the Furious Five against their greatest threat yet, a demon from the underworld named Ke-Pa (Alfred Molina) who has spent several decades trapped in the body of a mortal pig and whose power has been held in check by the mystical power of the peach tree outside the Jade Palace. As the tree begins to wither and die Ke-Pa’s power grows, Shifu (Fred Tatasciore) organizes the evacuation of the Jade Palace and the Valley of Peace should the warriors fail in stopping Ke-Pa from freeing the other demons trapped inside the mountain under the Jade Palace.

After publicly defeating Po in the town square, Ke-Pa makes his way to the top of the mountain where his true power is unleashed and the fire-breathing dragon escapes the ridiculous mortal form which has held him captive for so many years. Restored, Ke-Pa destroys the Jade Palace but his path of wanton destruction grows when he’s unable to break Oogway‘s seal and free his fellow demons without the “Hero’s Chi” Oogway passed on to one of the other Kung Fu masters before his death.

Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness - Enter the Dragon

As Po is forced to leave the Valley of Peace in shame with his father (James Hong), who is intent on opening a new noodle shop with his son in the middle of nowhere, the new Dragon Warrior enslaves the villagers and attempts to force Shifu into breaking Oogway’s seal. Ke-Pa enlists the help of Fung (John DiMaggio) and the crocodile bandits to imprison Shifu while he makes plans to extract the Chi from the master of the Jade Palace. Shifu, who doesn’t actually hold the Hero’s Chi, plans to sacrifice his own life to give the Furious Five an opening to stop the demon once and for all.

Shifu orders Tigress (Kari Wahlgren) to keep Po (the only one who can actually open the seal) far away from the action but the Five’s inability to stop the dragon and Po’s unexpected return foil Shifu’s plan and allow Ke-Pa to open the seal. As the Five try to protect the villagers from an army of demons, Tigress and Shifu carry a wounded Po to the peach tree hoping for a second miracle to save Po and the Valley of Peace just as it saved Oogway years before. Coming back from the brink of death, and with his Chi restored, a far humbler Dragon Warrior traps the demon horde back in the mountain and defeats Ke-Pa once and for all.
