Pretty Little Liars - The Silence of E. Lamb

Despite the actions of Mona (Janel Parrish) and her new cabal, in the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars it’s the Liars own doubts and concerns, and those of their loved ones, which begin splintering the group still adapting to Alison‘s (Sasha Pieterse) return. With Aria (Lucy Hale) busy with her new volunteer job at Radley trying to uncover the story behind the unusual drawing of Alison’s mother, and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) standing-in for her helping out the still injured Ezra (Ian Harding), it falls on a discontented Hanna (Ashley Benson) to show up with Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Ali for an impromptu dinner party thrown by Mrs. Fields (Nia Peeples).

After Emily kicks out the boozing Hanna from the dinner party before Mrs. Fields discovers her water glass is full of vodka (but not before Hanna offers some stimulating dinner conversation), Hanna finds herself reconnecting with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) at The Brew. Fanning the flames of the pair getting back together again may offer Hanna a second chance at love, but it’s Hanna’s big mouth which puts all of the Liars in jeopardy in a conversation with Sydney (Chloe Bridges) which is the first mistake tying the group to the events in New York and, perhaps eventually, Shana‘s (Aeriel Miranda) death.

Although the entire episode covers only part of a single day and night there’s quite a bit going on in “The Silence of E. Lamb” as Aria discovers Radley may hold some secrets after all, Spencer begins spying on Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) and begins to see her sister in a slightly different light, and the comments from Caleb and Emily’s mother about Alison make both Liars reexamine their relationship to Alison and their recent choices. Hanna’s slip-up is likely to have far-reaching ramifications, particularly for Aria, but more concerning is the sudden disappearance of Eddie Lamb (Reggie Austin) who vanishes from Radley with the very answers Ezra and the Liars continue to search for.
