Scorpion begins its Third Season with a two-part episode where the team takes on a group of Eastern European hackers who have found a way to remotely hijack two F130 jets, four Naval Destroyers, and a nuclear submarine. Tensions are already high on the team because of Walter (Elyes Gabel) crashing Paige‘s (Katharine McPhee) romantic weekend and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) still flipping out after learning that Happy (Jadyn Wong) is already married.
The episodes feature the team’s usual quick thinking and innovative solutions to the problems created by the hackers. Highlights from the season premiere include Sylvester (Ari Stidham) forced into field duty and a recurring joke about a pair of giant aluminum balls which actually come into play to help Scorpion save the day. While Toby and Happy eventually work through their issues it appears the show has put any romantic pairing between Walter and Paige on indefinite hold, again.
