When Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is contacted by a bully (Lance Barber) who tormented him as a child, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) comes to the realization that she was a bully in high school. Realizing the pain they caused both Penny and Jimmy learn their attempts to make amends are easier said than done.

When Penny’s attempts to apologize over the phone to the girls she tormented in high school. Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) Amy (Mayim Bialik) suggest instead she make a grand gesture, such as doing charity work. After dismissing several choices as too time consuming, the girls decide Penny should to give away some of her clothes to less fortunate. However, this creates a new problem when Penny starts picking through the other donated items for clothes for herself.

Meanwhile, Leonard finally gets the apology he always wanted from an apologetic Jimmy, but the next morning (the now sober) Jimmy returns to form as the bully Leonard remembers so well.

Although the episode isn’t great, and Leonard’s story is wrapped-up far too quickly for my tastes, it is a nice attempt to tie to separate stories together with a common theme. It’s also nice to get a little broader picture of Penny’s life before moving across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon (Jim Parsons).
