Once and Future #16

Once and Future #16 comic reviewThings get event more tumultuous for our heroes as Merlin and Zombie Arthur continue their plans. Trapped in the Otherworld, Duncan and Bridgette have to deal with a crazed Lancelot as well as the sudden experience of a dragon (you have to love a comic that can just throw in a dragon at the last minute and it not seem out of place).

Things aren’t going to get any easier for the pair with the arrival of Galahad and Elaine whose appearance, and identity, confuses Lancelot (he’s not the only one).

Scooby-Doo! - Scooby's Night with a Frozen Fright television review

Throwback Tuesday takes us back to Scooby Doo, Where Are You! for another mystery involving some meddling kids and their talking dog. After catching a frozen caveman on the beach, Mystery, Inc. return it to Professors Wayne (John Stephenson) and Ingstrom (Don Messick) at Oceanland who apparently collect cavemen as well as fish and lost the artifact in a storm. Returning to the facility to retrieve Shaggy‘s (Casey Kasem) fishing pole, the gang discover the block of ice melted and the caveman walking the halls of Oceanland. When one of the professors vanishes and the other begins acting oddly with an unusual device, the gang have a pair of suspects and, although they don’t know it yet, a motive for the caveman’s appearance. Although the caveman turns out to be one of the show’s more forgettable monsters, the mystery works well enough to keep the episode rolling until the gang unmask the villain.

MacGyver - Rails + Pitons + Pulley + Pipe + Salt television review

In Kazakhstan, MacGyver (Lucas Till), Desi , and Riley (Tristin Mays) race to prevent the new version of Codex from getting their hands on Department of Defense secrets. The episode is notable for Mac continuing to try and take larger risks to shield anyone else from harm. However, while he’s scaling a cliff to prevent the intel from being broadcast back to Codex home base, Desi and Riley do just fine on their own taking down the mercenaries thanks to Riley using her own version of MacGyver magic in turning a warehouse against the soldiers. As for Codex, Team MacGyver is left with more questions than answers as it seems the new variation has different motives than the Codex they fought in the past.
