Olympus - Truth

Olympus concludes with a deafening thud as The Mercenary (Tom York), Medea (Sonita Henry), the Oracle (Sonya Cassidy), and Daedalus (Matt Frewer) struggle to find footing in the time-displaced reality of the gods where they make their way through labyrinths and visions only to discover the opportunity to view their most treasured desire is (like the series) an empty promise leaving them to be harshly judged by the gods and each other as the series comes to a close.

With The Mercenary (Tom York) having completed all three of the sacrifices required of him, Medea (Sonita Henry) makes a sacrifice of her own giving her body and soul over to Circe in exchange for the witch leading the small band to the door of Olympus. Along the way the group will be set on by Furies and Hermes (Michael Daingerfield) before eventually leading back to where the journey began at the temple of the Oracle (Sonya Cassidy) who is far less sure of helping The Mercenary fulfill his destiny than when they first started their adventure.

Olympus - The Temple of Gaia / Daedalus

Olympus is the latest live-action mythological fantasy to find its way to the Syfy Channel. The show’s first two episodes introduce us to an unnamed Mercenary (Tom York) whose name has the power to kill if spoken aloud, an Oracle (Sonya Cassidy) on the run, and the inner circle of the royal family of Athens to which both characters’ destinies are linked. When we first meet our Mercenary he’s taken a job to return the missing Oracle to the temple. Saving the woman from a cyclops and marauders (who are attempting to save her from him), the Mercenary’s payment is nothing but betrayal as he learns the secret to his parentage and why priests and queens will kill to get the knowledge locked in his genes.
