This volume of The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries comes to an end with Mystery, Inc. waking up in the future and meeting Batman Beyond‘s Batman fighting the Royal Flush Gang over classic Batman gadgets such as Batman’s utility belt. At least that’s what the group thinks is happening. It’s a fun, if unlikely, team-up with the future Batman as confused by the sudden appearance the young detective as the gang themselves.

Throwback Thursday takes us back to another mystery involving some meddling kids and their talking dog. “Peebles’ Pet Shop of Terrible Terrors!” reunites Scooby-Doo (Frank Welker) with Wanda Sykes (playing herself) when the gang hits up a local pet shop looking for some Scooby Snacks for their famished friend. Having met Scooby years ago while judging a dog show, Wanda enlists Mystery, Inc.‘s help in finding Mr. Peebles (Billy West) who has been kidnapped by a Fish Monster.

Scooby Sunday takes us back to the first episode of Scooby Doo and Guess Who? which used a similar concept to The New Scooby Doo Movies in providing a guest-star of the week to help solve a mystery, first up was professional basketball player Chris Paul (voiced by Paul). The concept around the episode is a bit convoluted, but it shakes down in Paul asking for Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) to be his caddy in a charity golf tournament which benefits the funding of a local school. Sadly, a Swamp Monster has been terrorizing the tournament and either kidnapping or scaring off several of the golfers.

After Wayne Tech’s new artificial intelligence is corrupted by a villain calling themselves the Ghost in the Machine, taking control of the Internet and communication across the city and holding Gotham City hostage, Batman and Mystery, Inc. are on the case. The latest issue of the series reintroduces Barbara as Oracle who guides Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, and Velma into the virtual world of cyber-space eventually leading to Mystery, Inc. unmasking the Ghost and discovering it’s an old Batman villain (and one with specific ties to Oracle’s complicated comic’s history).
