The Crazy Ones - Dead and Improved

Pulling an Aaron Sorkin and duplicating an episode he did better on a previous show, David E. Kelley delivers an episode where Simon (Robin Williams) is pressured into preparing the funeral and eulogy for a former client who no one ever liked by the man’s daughter (Missi Pyle) who just wants, for one day, her father to be loved and appreciated.

The Crazy Ones - Simon Roberts Was Here

While house-sitting a cat food company’s mascot, Simon (Robin Williams), Zach (James Wolk), and Andrew (Hamish Linklater) attempt to come up with a marketing campaign which becomes difficult when the firm’s new quantitative analyst shoots down all of their ideas. After making, and then losing,  a bet with “the Quant” (Sandeep Parikh) on which the fate of the direction of the campaign’s pitch lies, which leads Simon to throw-in the towel on creativity in favor of Colin’s mathematical formulas and graphs (and begin playing his bagpipes of sadness).

The Crazy Ones - Outbreak

As the office is beset with the flu, Simon (Robin Williams) rallies the troops to come up with a way to change public opinion for a doll whose malfunctioning voice box informed her young owner to kill her mother on Christmas. With Zach (James Wolk) quarantined along with an ever-increasing percentage of the office, Lauren (Amanda Setton) is given her first big chance and allowed to run the apology tour campaign.
