Hawaii Five-0 - Hala I Ke Ala O'i'ole Mai television review

Hawaii Five-0 returns from winter hiatus with McGarrett‘s (Alex O’Loughlin) and Catherine (Michelle Borth) in Montana torturing a prisoner for information about the location of the man (Ben Youcef) responsible for the death of Joe White (Terry O’Quinn) and four other SEALs. With Danny (Scott Caan), Junior (Beulah Koale), and Wade (David Keith) in tow, the pair head off to Laos to rendezvous with super-spy Harry Langford (Chris Vance) to infiltrate a highly-secure skyscraper, find their target, and get some justice for their fallen friend.

Dominating the majority of the episode, the story plays on McGarrett’s relationships with both Catherine and the treacherous Greer (Rochelle Aytes) along with his guilt for the death of Joe. By the end of the episode, Greer’s storyline will be closed and the show cracks open the door for a McGarrett/Rollins happily ever after somewhere down the line. Completely overshadowed by the main story, the rest of Five-0 investigate a double-murder and bag of bones discovered in a storage locker. Pretty much filler, the B-story is largely forgettable and relatively easy for the remaining team members to wrap-up in the limited screentime available.
