Killjoys - Bro-D Trip television review

“Bro-D Trip” focuses on the Jacobi brothers and their search for Green while leaving Delle Seyah Kendry (Mayko Nguyen) to fend for herself against Juno Clay (Billy MacLellan) who plans to hunt down the Killjoys and take her baby to recoup lost expenses. Throughout the episode, a more devious and murderous Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) continues to struggle with the effects of Hullen psychosis (even going so far as to actually shoot is brother in the back at one point). Dutch‘s (Hannah John-Kamen) appearance at the end of the episode saves D’Avin (Luke Macfarlane) but leaves all kinds of questions about what is happening in the minds of two of the show’s three stars.

The episode also features a B-story of Zeph (Kelly McCormack), Pree (Thom Allison), and Pippin (Atticus Mitchell) tracking down, and fighting to get control of, Lucy who will eventually lead them back to their friends (although too late to join in the fun). The episode brings the group back together again, with the foreshadowing of a new arrival just around the corner. The fact that Dutch alone returned from the Green, and that it crystallized after her emergence are two more questions (along with the results of an imminent birth) for the show to address in the coming weeks.
