Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters - Plus One

Despite his stated intentions to leave the team, Wheeljack (James Horan) agrees to accompany Arcee (Sumalee Montano) to New Mexico in the search for another Predacon bone. Back at the base Raf‘s (Andy Pessoa) search discovers another bone in a museum. With no more Autobots available, Agent Fowler (Ernie Hudson) volunteers for the “milk run,” and to Jack‘s (Josh Keaton) complete surprise his mother (Markie Post) decides to go with him.

After dispatching the Decepticons in their path with relative ease, Arcee gets Wheeljack to open up about his problems with Ultra Mangus (Michael Ironside) and Bulkhead (Kevin Michael Richardson) as they continue their search. Finally coming to an understanding, the pair retrieve their bone an then set-out to save Fowler and June who were ambushed and taken hostage by Knock Out (Daran Norris) at the museum. Thankfully for the humans sake, Megatron‘s (Frank Welker) pet Predacon destroyed the communication array making it impossible for the Deception to call for a Bridge and make it back to the ship with the bone and his captives.

Although June and Fowler are saved, Knock Out makes it out with the bone giving Shockwave (David Sobolov) what he needs to clone yet another Predacon. Although it’s done far quicker than I’d like, the choice of Arcee as the one to talk some sense to Wheeljack and convince him to stay is a good one, especially given her own loss of a close friend not that long ago. “Plus One” also continues to tease the true motivations of Megatron’s pet which may or may not fit into the leader of the Decepticons own plans.
