Our Fall Preview kicks into high gear in Week 3 as new and returning shows abound.  Over the next week you will see new episodes of Family Guy, The Simpsons, Bones, HouseShark, Boston Legal, How I Met Your Mother and Heroes plus new shows like Chuck, Journeyman Reaper, and Bionic Woman.  Check out the full scoop in the Full Diagnosis.

Survivor: China  Sigh.  This “reality”-TV show survives for another year as contestants “compete” to win in China’s Jiangxi Province.  The show airs Thursday nights at 8:00/7:00 on CBS.

CW Now TV’s newest network launches its first news magazine with hosts Sarah Karges and Tanika Ry.  The show airs Sunday nights at 7:00/6:00 on the CW.

Online Nation “This interactive clip show brings the Internet to network TV” by showcasing Internet videos, websites, blogs, and more.  Joy.  Hey, doesn’t Attack of the Show! already do this?  Stevie Ryan, Joy Leslie Hardnott, Rhett McLaughlin, and Link Neal host.  The show airs Sunday nights at 7:30/6:30 on the CW.

The Simpsons Fresh off its summer movie, FOX’s longest running sitcom returns for its 19th Season.  The show airs Sunday nights at 8:00/7:00 on FOX.

King of the Hill FOX’s other long-running animated sitcom returns for its 12th Season.  The show airs Sunday nights at 8:30/7:30 on FOX.

Cold Case Kathryn Morris returns for another season of trying to solve cold cases for the Philadelphia homicide squad.  The show airs Sunday nights at 9:00/8:00 on CBS.

Family Guy The Griffins kick-off their 6th Season with a Star Wars themed episode entitled “Blue Harvest” (if you don’t get the in-joke of the title ask your nearest Star Wars nerd to explain it to you).  The show airs Sunday nights at 9:00/8:00 on FOX.

American Dad Stan Smith as his dysfunctional family return for another wacky season.  The show airs Sunday nights at 9:30/8:30 on FOX.

Shark James Woods returns as the defense attorney turned prosecutor.  The show airs Sunday nights at 10:00/9:00 on CBS.

Chuck The new show from The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz and producer/director McG gives us a computer geek named Chuck (Zachary Levi) with a brain full of downloaded government secrets who is recruited to work for the NSA with a sexy partner (Yvonne Strzechowski).  Adam Baldwin also stars.  The show airs Monday nights at 8:00/7:00 on NBC.

Dancing with the Stars The show returns for another season to stretch the limits of the definitions of “stars” and “dancing.”  This season’s stars include Jennie Garth, Josie Maran, Jane Seymour, Mark Cuban, Marie Osmond, and Wayne Newton.  The show airs Monday nights at 8:00/7:00 on ABC.

How I Met Your Mother The show enters its third season following up the events of Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall’s (Jason Segel) wedding.  The show airs Monday nights at 8:00/7:00 on CBS.

The Big Bang Theory In this new sitcom two physics nerds (Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons) discover there is more to life than a lab when they meet their new neighbor (Kaley Cuoco).  The show airs Monday nights at 8:30/7:30 on CBS.

Heroes NBC’s hit series returns with old faces and new ones including Kirsten Bell, Holt McCallany, David Anders, and Barry Shabaka Henley.  I’ve been critical of the show for not properly developing the world and rules in which such characters flourish.  It will be interesting to see if any of this will be addressed in the new season.  The show airs Monday nights at 9:00/8:00 on NBC.

Two and a Half Men Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones return for a Fifth Season.  The show airs Monday nights at 9:00/8:00 on CBS.

Rules of Engagement Last year’s mid-season replacement returns with all-new episodes.  The show airs Monday nights at 9:30/8:30 on CBS.

The Bachelor Another season of lonely and desperate women trying to win both the heart of a shallow bachelor and their own five-seconds of fame.  The show airs Monday nights at 10:00/9:00 on ABC.

CSI: Miami The team tries to solve more crimes in Miami in the Sixth Season.  The show airs Monday nights at 10:00/9:00 on CBS.

Journeyman Quantum Leap meets Early Edition when a journalist (Kevin McKidd) travels through time to change people’s lives.  The show airs Monday nights at 10:00/9:00 on NBC.

NCIS The JAG spin-off returns for a Fifth Season.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 8:00/7:00 on CBS.

Bones Emily Deshanel and David Boreanaz return to dig up more skeletons and solve some crimes as the show moves into its Third Season.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 8:00/7:00 on FOX.

The Unit David Mamet‘s covert Special Forces squad signs back up for a Third Season.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on CBS.

House Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie returns as Dr. House, but since he fired his entire team at the end of last season who will he get to do all his work for him?  The show airs Tuesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on FOX.

Reaper After his soul is sold to the Devil (Ray Wise) a slacker (Bret Harrison) goes to work as a bounty hunter for his new boss.  Missy Peregrym also stars.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on the CW.

Singing Bee The latest pop culture game show features The Fat One as the host of a competition between contestants who try to sing the lyrics of various songs.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30 on NBC.

Boston Legal David E. Kelley‘s wacky Boston law firm (no, not that one) returns for another season.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00 on ABC.

Law & Order: SVU The Special Victims Unit goes back to work for a 9th Season.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00 on NBC.

Cane The new soap about a two Latin American families who own and work a rum an sugar business stars Jimmy Smits, Ned Vaughn, Hector Elizondo, and Alona Tal.  The show airs Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00 on CBS.

Private Practice The spin-off from Grey’s Anatomy stars Kate Walsh as Addison Montgomery who relocates to Los Angeles.  The show airs Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on ABC.

Criminal Minds The members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit return for a Third Season.  The show airs Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on CBS.

Bionic Woman This remake of the 1976 series stars Michelle Ryan as Jamie Sommers, a bartender hurt in a car crash who takes part in an experimental procedure (that I’m guessing cost at least $6 million) and wakes up with bionic powers.  The show airs Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 on NBC.

Dirty Sexy Money Peter Krause stars as an idealistic attorney who takes on his father’s clients after his death.  Donald Sutherland, Jill Clayburgh, William Baldwin, Blair Underwood, and Candis Cayne also star.  The show airs Wednesday night at 10:00/9:00 on ABC.

CSI: NY There’s plenty more crime in the Big Apple for the Crime Scene folks to solve in the Fourth Season.  The show airs Wednesday nights at 10:00/9:00 on NBC.

Life Damian Lewis stars as Charlie Crews, a police officer who returns to the force after serving years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.  Sarah Shahi, Brooke Lanton, and Jennifer Siebel also star.
