While on a trip to Africa to propose Auggie (Christopher Gorham), Parker (Devin Kelley), and two of her Peace Corps co-workers (Brendan Hines, Emily Shaffer) are taken by Somali pirates. If Annie (Piper Perabo) has any chance of seeing her friend again she has to convince Joan (Kari Matchett) and Lena (Sarah Clarke) to work together long enough to negotiate with the American ex-patriot (Julianne Nicholson) in charge of the negotiations.

Joan is less than thrilled to see Lena running the operation and things quickly go from bad to worse when a K&R team bought by the wealthy father of one of hostages hits the wrong house leading to the doubling of the ransom and relocation of the hostages. With tension high Annie is forced to play peacemaker and make the call on where to put their limited assets in one final play to retrieve the hostages.

Despite her trust issues once Auggie breaks the news of what he does for a living, Parker agrees with Wade to listen to Auggie and attempt an escape which involves jumping rooftops and an rendezvousing with the SEAL extraction team Annie insisted putting into play. But although Annie is able to save her friend she’s stunned by the news that her sister (Anne Dudek) is leaving to give her marriage another try – in California.

The episode does a good job at showcasing Parker’s mixed emotions from learning the truth about Auggie, and I’m guessing that final scene doesn’t foreshadow domestic bliss for the couple despite her acceptance of his proposal. The choice to move Danielle to another state, further isolating Annie, is one that will be interesting to see play out, especially as her assignment with Simon (Richard Coyle) heats up next week.
