Delving into one of the less explored aspects of one of the most covered war moments in history, the script by Anthony Maras and David Haig, based on Haig’s stage play, explores how weather won perhaps the most crucial battle of World War II. Despite it’s slightly unusual subject matter, the structure of the film (involving one lone voice of reason struggling to be heard over the naysayers) is quite familiar.

After stopping for some flashbacks with the young hero Prion training with Batman, Black Canary, and Green Arrow, Detective Comics #1109 picks up the thread from the last issue’s cliffhanger ending with Green Arrow saving himself after being thrown off a skyscraper by a deceptively skilled girl (who apparently is also Prion and works for Prion?). Oliver’s actions to save himself are narrated by Batman who, after managing to pull him to safely, the archer finds waiting for him and willing to help “if necessary.”
