Rookie Blue - Integrity Test

While Traci (Enuka Okuma) struggles with the realization that her boyfriend is a dirty cop, Sam (Ben Bass) attempts to convince Oliver (Matt Gordon) to stay and fight the charges rather than resign, and Andy (Missy Peregrym), Epstein (Gregory Smith), Nick (Peter Mooney), and Gail (Charlotte Sullivan) set a trap for Commissioner Alonso Santana (Richard Chevolleau) in a last-ditch attempt to prove Oliver’s innocence.

Wrapping up Oliver’s storyline far sooner than I expected, “Integrity Test” still leaves the officer with some hurt feelings concerning recent events but not enough to stop him from returning to work. Steve Peck (Adam MacDonald) walking into the trap set for Santana not only saves Oliver’s good name but implodes Peck’s relationship with both his sister and his girlfriend. It also leaves Andy feeling responsible for the entire situation.

By the end of the episode status quo has returned, but given Peck’s arrest there is likely to be plenty of fallout, especially for Traci, over the remainder of the season. Nick doesn’t take the news of Juliet’s (Erin Karpluk) real assignment within 15 Division very well creating strain on the relationship, but it is helped by Juliet giving Andy a way to entrap Santana but not entirely dealt with here. Whether their relationship can survive the lies, or whether Juliet even stays in 15 given the completion of her mission, we’ll have to be seen.
