Teen Titans Go! - Be Mine

St. Valentine’s Day doesn’t go as planned for any member of Titans Tower. As Starfire‘s (Hynden Walch) literal misinterpretations of the holiday’s traditions leads to trouble for Robin (Scott Menville), Cyborg (Khary Payton) is unable to spend any time alone with Jinx, and after Beast Boy (Greg Cipes) learns that Terra (Ashley Johnson) has been trapped in a garbage dimension he goes about freeing his one true love who sadly only cares about exacting revenge on Raven (Tara Strong) and all of the Titans.

Although usually the character who is shown to care the least about pretty much anything requiring an ounce of effort, “Be Mine” proves to be nice change of pace for Beast Boy who even gets to display his love in his own solo musical number. Terra’s wrath eventually means a throwdown for the Titans, and her inevitable return to the garbage realm, but the episode also shows Raven’s jealous side when it’s revealed to the audience that she cares more for Beast Boy than she’s ever let on.

Although Beast Boy’s song actually works to stop the super-villain from attacking his friends, Raven’s jealousy starts the battle again leaving Terra trapped back in the garbage dimension. I’m not sure I like the pairing of Raven and Beast Boy (which is teased and thrown away without ever really be properly set-up), and would have liked to see where the more volatile relationship of Beast Boy and Terra may have led without Raven’s interference.
