“Don’t try to change the subject. This is about a parking space, it has nothing to do with cars.”

Despite the fact that he doesn’t own a car, has never properly learned to drive, and has never used his university parking spot, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) becomes incensed when the university reassigns it to Howard (Simon Helberg) without his knowledge. The fight escalates quickly bleeding over into Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) girl’s night out with Penny (Kaley Cuoco).

A towed car, Howard almost running Sheldon over with his car, a stolen Iron Man helmet, Howard showing up naked on Sheldon and Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) couch, and a trip to the emergency for Penny (who ends up with a broken nose after getting in the middle of a heated argument between Amy and Bernadette) later the two scientists finally come to an understanding allowing Howard to keep the parking spot but Sheldon to remain “the bigger man.”

Although the end of the fight is a little anticlimactic, the ever-increasing insanity between both Sheldon and Howard and also Bernadette and Amy makes for one of the funniest episodes of the season so far. Even the post credit sequence, involving Sheldon’s attempts to undo the damage the naked engineer did to his beloved cushion, works well.

  1. I’m not always a big fan of this show but this week was funny. I haven’t laughed so much at a sitcom in a long time.
