Ghost-Spider #3

Ghost-Spider #3 comic reviewThe third issue of Ghost-Spider could be called “The Jackal of Two Worlds” as it showcases not one but two versions of Miles Warren obsessed with young Miss Stacy. There’s not much action here, although we do see Gwen break-up a robbery at one point and we do get to see a little web-slinging as well. Instead writer Seanan McGuire and artist Takeshi Miyazawa focus more of our heroine fitting in on a new world and in a new school. In whatever world he exists, it appears the Jackal is obsessed with Gwen Stacy.

In her home dimension, the Man-Wolf and Miles Warren plot for their revenge against the super-hero. While in the proper Marvel Universe, Warren enlists the help of one of his students to spy (even going so far as to give her some of his super-villain juice) and help him determine just who this new Gwen Stacy is.

Although the Man-Wolf isn’t going away, it looks like the Jackal (either or both) has emerged as the looming threat for Gwen (no matter which world she’s on). We do get another cameo from Peter Parker, but there are other Spider-characters who know more about the Jackal, will either of them make an appearance? Worth a look.
