News and Notes – The End of Leverage?

LeverageIn an open letter to fans of the show, Leverage co-creator Dean Devlin discusses the future of the TNT drama which still has not been renewed by the network to return for a sixth season. This means the remaining three episodes of the show’s Fifth Season, culminating in the season finale which airs on Christmas Day, may very well be the show’s series finale as well. The bad news is it looks like there’s a good chance Leverage is going away. The good news is, with foreknowledge that this could be a possibility, the producers put the original concept for show’s final arc of the series in place for this season. This means if the show is going out (which I certainly hope isn’t the case) at least it’s going out on its own terms and exactly as the show’s creators originally envisioned. You can find the full letter inside.
