Darth Vader #37

Having regained only a fraction of control over his Force abilities, Darth Vader has returned to Mustafar with his droid army for training. However, another droid uprising, this one aboard the Super Star Destroyer Executor pushes Vader back into the fight prior to regaining full use and control. Despite the objections of both Z and Ivy, Zatanna does what she’s asked multiple times (the Aquaman origin being my favorite) but in the end Harley finally realizes her origin is the best of all.

Spidey Super Stories #39

Flashback Friday takes us back to another issue of Spidey Super Stories. Although Thanos is on the cover, and plays a large role in one of the stories of issue #39, the more common thread is the obvious attempt to include women in the issue. The opening story involves a women’s rights march that is interrupted by Mastermind who uses sleep toxin in soda to put the marchers to sleep. The adventure features Ms. Marvel fighting alongside Spider-Man while Mary Jane works to rouse the crowd.
