Beginning with Moon Knight fighting off a cultish gang after a young boy, Moon Knight: City of the Dead #1 takes Marc Spector to Duat, the City of the Dead, to find and return the boy’s soul to his wounded body. Not a well-known or often used location, the comic takes advantage of the city’s deputation of Duat from the Moon Knight TV-series to explain its existence (although it expands on it much more than what we saw there).

A new volume of Red Sonja begins here in Vestfold with where the brutal High Priest Thord Varg has taken control following the death of the king. Although the narration from writer Torunn Grønbekk suggests he has no real interest in ruling this particular kingdom, he also has no problem sacrifice babies to the town’s flame and rousing the crowds with speeches of victory over their enemies.

However, there’s new demonic trouble for both her and Hellboy when a woman Anastacia has seen previously on her search completes a ritual and sends demon spawn after the pair and their guide to deny the archeologist her prize.
