Cate Blanchett retuns as Queen Elizabeth in the sequel to the 1998’s Elizabeth.  The story centers around the Queen’s attempts to stop conspiracies aimed to kill her and put Mary Queen of Scots (Samantha Morton) on the throne, an attacking Spanish armada, and her relationship with explorer Sir Walter Scott (Clive Owen).  Abbie Cornish and Geoffrey Rush also star.  Check out the official site.  We’ve seen it and we’ll have the review for you when the film opens in theaters everywhere on Friday.  Larger trailer, plus the trailer of the original, available in the Full Diagnosis.
