Here’s the first look at Disney’s new animated ten-part Tron inspired animated series which follows the adventures of a computer programmer named Beck (Elijah Wood) who becomes a leader of a revolution in The Grid. Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Bruce Boxleitner, and Paul Reubens also lend their voices to the project. Set between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy, Tron: Uprising will premiere on Disney XD in June.
Bones‘ T.J. Thyne stars as a man who begins to experience his life out of chronological order in Kurt Kuenne‘s first non-documentary feature, the very Twilight Zone-ish Shuffle. Paula Rhodes, Chris Stone, Meeghan Holaway, Michelle Krusiec, Patricia Belcher, and Tamara Taylor also star. The film has done well enough on the festival circuit for Screen Media Films to pick it up with plans for a limited release in theaters later this year.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane writes and directs his first movie about a schlub (Mark Wahlberg), his girlfriend (Mila Kunis), and his foul-mouthed teddy bear (voiced by MacFarlane) – who comes to life as the result of a childhood wish. It’s an interesting premise for a sketch, but I’m not sure I trust MacFarlane’s brand of humor (and beating jokes to death) for the length of an entire feature. Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Joel McHale, Jessica Stroup, Laura Vandervoort, Melissa Ordway, and Jessica Barth also star. Ted opens in theaters on July 13th.
Marvel Studios have released a few behind-the-scenes shots from their upcoming summer super-hero flick The Avengers featuring Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), S.H.I.E.L.D. agents the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, opens in theaters on May 4th.
