Based on the novel by Jeanne DuPrau the film tells the story of two children (Saoirse Ronan, Harry Treadway) who search for clues to solve the growing darkness of the underground city of Ember when the city’s generator begins to fail after 200 years.  Bill Murray, Mackenzie Crook, Mary Kay Place, Liz Smith, Martin Landau, Toby Jones, and Tim Robbins also star.  Check out the official site.  The film opens in theaters everywhere on Friday.
