The fallout from last week’s botched drone bombing of a suspected terrorist continues as Arthur (Peter Gallagher) is ordered in front of a Senate Oversight Committee, Joan (Kari Matchett) orders Annie (Piper Perabo) to return to the Blue Bonnet facility to resume her complete Moscow debriefing, and Annie’s asset (Michelle Nolden), who is now targeted for death by the man (Haaz Sleiman) the CIA failed to kill, has disappeared. As Auggie (Christopher Gorham) and Barber (Dylan Taylor), and a boatload of CIA agents, are called into help circle the wagons Annie is left a difficult choice to play it safe, keep her head down, and follow orders or head out without support to find the missing journalist. For our heroine it’s no choice at all.

The discovery of a carefully planned abduction leading to a brutal ritualistic murder on Halloween night makes the Five-0 Task Force believe their killer is only getting started. Max’s (Masi Oka) autopsy of the victim shows she was kept alive while the killer carefully removed several of her vital organs. The killer made no attempt to keep the organs viable for black market sale or transplant. He simply enjoyed his work.

Taking pity on Sweets (John Francis Daley) who has been living out of his office since his sudden break-up with Daisy (Carla Gallo), Booth (David Boreanaz) invites the shrink to stay with Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth until he finds a new apartment. Although Sweets is welcome into their home, his arrival does cause a few uncomfortable moments (including Bones’ dancing). Meanwhile, the Jeffersonian team begins looking into the remains of a 20 year-old woman whose skin was eviscerated and body was torn apart while she was still alive.

The case also brings out Beckett’s inner-geek and her love for a short-lived sci-fi series on whose “fan experience” the body was found.

As Jane (Simon Baker) continues to try and find leads into who helped Lorelei (Emmanuelle Chriqui) escape from prison the CBI’s newest case involves a murder and kidnapping of the chief designer at a communication software firm and his wife. The case is hampered from the onset by the victim’s brother (Neil Hopkins) refusing to risk his sibling’s life by working with the police and the arrival of Brenda Shettrick (Rebecca Wisocky) on the scene ordering Lisbon (Robin Tunney) to work the potential PR nightmare with kid gloves.
