There are two plotlines at play in “Druz’ya I Vragi” involving the kidnapping of Czech president Alena Kovac (Nina Hoss) by her bodyguard Radek (Adam Vacula) and Jack (John Krasinski) leading a small team in the search of the not-so-abandoned Sokol facility for the nuclear weapon (which he discovers has been fashioned to look like an American warhead). Both plots provide action with Jack’s team shooting their way in and out of the facility, but failing to get their hands on the device, and Radek and Petr (Peter Guinness) hunting each other in the woods leading to Alena finally learning, and accepting, some harsh truths about her father.

Throwback Tuesday takes us back to the mean streets of Boston and the travails of a smart ass private detective. “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” gives us a rare Frank Belson (Ron McLarty) episode when Frank’s old partner (Jess Osuna) is killed by those searching for the smuggled minks the former cop turned into a lucrative business years before. Gail Strickland guest-stars as Frank’s new neighbor who he immediately falls for not realizing she’s a hitter from out of town after the minks as well. The pair make for an interesting, if short-lived, couple.

Bodies found in the woods pointing to a serial killer torturing and killing his victims bring Trent (Ramón Rodríguez), Faith (Iantha Richardson), Angie (Erika Christensen), and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) together to all work the same case. “My Stupid Detective Brain” continues to build on the partnership of Trent and Faith each sharing some personal truths with each other and playing on the animosity between Treent and Ormewood (who finds the killer first, only to nearly become his latest victim).

Discovering Xavier (Percy Hynes White) has drawings of the creature in the woods, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) offers a sample of his DNA and a claw from what she believes is the monster’s cave to the sheriff in an uneasy alliance between the pair. Although she initially asks him to the dance, in a way to explain away her snooping, Wednesday ends up showing up with Tyler (Hunter Doohan) thanks largely to Thing playing matchmaker with the pair.
