“Bizarros in a Bizarro World” is a fever dream of an episode as Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) arrives on Bizarro Earth in an attempt to prevent Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt) from merging with her other half. Slowly weaking on the cube world with a red sun, Superman’s mission fails in part when he is betrayed by family as Ally gets exactly what she wants and sends her disciple back to Earth to follow in her footsteps. We get multiple vignettes here exploring the Bizarro version of these characters including a noble Tal-Rho (Adam Rayner) and a murderous Jonathan (Jordan Elsass). The episode ends a cliffhanger threating to turn the Jonathan of Earth into a far more interesting character.

Believing himself to be the Dragon reborn into this life, the powerful Logain Ablar (Álvaro Morte) has drawn an army of followers to his side. Captured by the Aes Sedai who are using all their power to keep him caged and hidden from his army, eventually Ablar will break free offering exactly the situation Liandrin Guirale (Kate Fleetwood) giving the more militant member of the group the ability to deliver justice to Ablar in the field rather than return him for trial.

The plans of Elena Federova (Morena Baccarin) have serious repercussions in “Beauty and the Beast” as the CIA search for the missing gold (whose real location is teased in a connection to the prison), Val (Ryan Michelle Bathe) searches for evidence implicating Federova’s latest target, and the Secret Service take control of Fort Totten allowing President Andrew Wright (Sasha Roiz) to torture Federova for information. The penultimate episode of the show’s first (perhaps only?) season doesn’t provide much movement on Sergey (Costa Ronin) and Owen Turner’s (Kamal Angelo Bolden) escape plans leaving quite a few loose ends to dealt with in the season finale.

The appropriately titled “Asylum” offers a lookin inside the mind of Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) and Steven Grant who find themselves in an undead construct of a psychiatric hospital on their way to the underworld by way of their guide Taweret (Antonia Salib). While putting recent events and their consequences on hold, the episode delves into connection between Marc and Steven and definitively explores which is the original personality of the man who would eventually become Moon Knight. Speaking of the hero, we don’t get to see him in action here, but we do get a flashback to Marc’s first encounter with Khonshu (F. Murray Abraham) and his acceptance of his new role.

Throwback Tuesday takes us to 80s Washington, D.C. and the unusual partnership between a housewife and a spy. After the agency ties the smuggling of weapons to a Washington suburb, Scarecrow (Bruce Boxleitner) and Amanda (Kate Jackson) are sent in undercover to play husband and wife. While the episode starts with the spy turning Amanda away from agency work, hoping to be rid of her, he quicky has to turn on a dime when he’s ordered into the suburbs with the only person who can show him the ropes. And once again, Amanda will prove her worth in helping uncover the truth of another fine mess Scarecrow has gotten them into.
