Bob’s Burgers – Snackface

While Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) deal with a computer issue which provides some enjoyment bringing back the kind of strip mall one-man computer repair shop that you don’t see much of anymore, the bulk of “Snackface” follows Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) creating the new ultimate snack they sell at school. It’s a fun take on the crazy things kids will eat (and also attempt to get away with under the noses of adults) with a twist involving the obsessed Millie (Molly Shannon) joining the team, although not for the reasons the Belchers expect.

Following the premiere, the first episode with no crossover from previous Librarian movies or shows gives us Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) leading the team to the opera where the rosin on a pair of opera shoes have put the lead dancer in the hospital. Discovering this is all the work of a witch, the group splits up until her identity is revealed with Lysa (Olivia Morris) and Connor (Bluey Robinson) distracting the witch (Arielle Dombasle) while Vikram makes a small but vital change to the ballet’s performance that prevents the ritual from completing and turning the magic back on the witch to the stunned audience (who I guess thought it was all part of the show?).

“The Great Fleece” is a an episode of reunion as having deciphered their communication network Sherlock Holmes (David Thewlis) lays a trap allowing for the return of both Dr. Watson (Seán Duggan) and Mrs. Hudson. However, the episode is also one of revelation where the true villain of the series is revealed to be Michael Wylie (Joe Klocek) whose various machinations are nothing more than theater and distraction allowing him first to rob the Bank of England and then later return the money but not before profiting greatly during its short absence. We’re even given a scene with the young man gloating over his victory to his father (Dougray Scott) that also teases to the connection to America and the Red Thread’s interest in killing Clara’s (Gia Hunter) mother.

“The Reality War” marks the end of the season, the end of The Rani (Anita Dobson), and the end of Ncuti Gatwa‘s run as The Doctor. After being saved by Anita (Steph de Whalley) who will play a pivotal role in bringing back the real memories of The Doctor’s allies at U.N.I.T., The Doctor turns his attention to stopping The Rani and her plans to release Omega () from his prison and use his DNA to recreate the Time Lords in her image. The Rani gets a bit more than she bargained for when the show goes a bit over-the-top offering us a CGI skeleton monster (certainly different than the character’s other appearances). Meanwhile, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) is given the crucial assignment of getting the baby which will be needed to permanently set the world right.
