The most interesting aspect of “The Swipe Right Job” is how the case comes to the team when a smooth grifter (Maulik Pancholy) attempts to con Sophie (Gina Bellman) not realizing who she is. Turning the tables on man and his sister (Annet Mahendru) who have swindled countless marks out of thousands of dollars, the team creates a new victim for them in Harry (Noah Wyle) who does so well the con man actually falls for him. It’s primarily a Harry episode, complete with an awkward misunderstanding when his daughter (Auden Wyle) sees him on the con, while Sophie gets the next largest piece of the pie and the rest of the team are really relegated to support. The romance episode also pushes the idea of a Sophie and Harry pairing, which seems quite likely by the end of the episode.

The Wheel of Time – To Race the Shadow

The opening to the Third Season of The Wheel of Time gives us the chaos of the White Tower when Liandrin (Kate Fleetwood) is brought before her sisters and outed as Black Ajah leading to a battle within the the walls of the council as her co-conspirators are also revealed. Along with outing several characters as evil, and killing off a few as well, the sequences inform viewers that the struggle that’s been happening mostly in private is now moving towards open war. The extended open scenes also include the theft of several magical artifacts by the Black Ajah which will provide side quests for some the supporting characters not concerned the main storyline this season.

Doctor Odyssey – The Wave
The two-part season finale of Doctor Odyssey (which may turn out to be the series finale given the show has not yet been renewed) offers enough big event which we’ve seen sprinkled throughout the season. In the “Wave” an earthquake at the latest stop puts causes a tsunami which is bad timing for Max (Joshua Jackson) and a handful of guests, one with an injured knee, who can’t make it back to the ship and must see out higher ground and wait things out. Meanwhile, given the situation, the Odyssey (while taking on lots of locals in need of protection) is forced to return to deeper waters and ordered to leave the area (and their doctor behind).

Throwback Thursday takes us back to the Second Season of Human Target. A family in need sends Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) and team to the suburbs, albeit under the false impression its the father who is being targeted. With Chance and Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley) shadowing and snooping around Mr. Applebaum’s (John Michael Higgins) workplace, and Winston (Chi McBride) watching over the wife (Rebecca McFarland), Ames (Janet Montgomery) hangs out with the family’s teenage son Joel (Taylor Boggan) who, unknowingly, is actually responsible for the attack that nearly got them all killed in the opening scene.
