kill-la-kill-3-3

The third episode of Kill la Kill raises the stakes and sets the stage for the episodes to follow as Satsuki Kiryūin (Ryôka Yuzuki) dons her own Kamui (named Junketsu, giving the episode its title) which will force Ryūko Matoi (Ami Koshimizu) to make a deeper connection to Senketsu in order to unlock her Kamui’s full potential. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Back in Black TV review

“Back in Black” is notable for introducing Sam Alexander (Logan Miller) to the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Reprising the Nova helmet seen in earlier episodes (which turns out to have belonged to Sam’s father), the Guardians go in search of the missing weapon only to discover the young teen has become Earth’s new Nova. Steele will also make wrong assumptions about a case, and his interference will at times both hinder and help the investigation.

Preacher - Damsels / Viktor TV review

After starting off the season with a strong pair of episodes Preacher crashes back to Earth. Well, they can’t all be winners. Believing their troubles to be over, but still in need of tracking down God, Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) arrive in New Orleans. While Jesse fails to find much of use, Tulip’s past comes back to haunt her as she’s taken by Viktor‘s (Paul Ben-Victor) men. The pair of episodes offers quite a bit of wandering and extended sequences of not much actually happening up until the end of “Viktor” where a distracted Jesse goes looking for his missing girl leading to an all-too-obvious American Pscyho rip-off action sequence and a revelation of just who Viktor is to Tulip.
