Black Doves – Go Bang Time

While suggesting there’s something more keeping Sam (Ben Whishaw) from killing Hector (Luther Ford), who he lets go again, the raid does snag the missing Kai-Ming (Isabella Wei) who sadly can shed no light on who killed her father or Helen’s (Keira Knightley) lover Jason (Andrew Koji). There’s plenty of carnage in the shoot-out, but its the maneuverings and the bits of info that begin to trickle out in the rest of the episode where things start to pick up. Given a new assignment, in getting the CIA Agent (Finn Bennett) out of the American Embassy for Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire), Helen also hopes to get the answers she seeks. However, very little goes according to plan.

Taking place in the same universe as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the new series starts after the events of the movie and the first few episodes involve the separation of the Turtles who walk into a trap. As you might expect from the title, “Leo Nardo Stands Alone!” focuses on Leonardo (Nicolas Cantu) separated from his brother and hunted by a Mechazoid. Unable to find his brothers, Leo turns to April (Ayo Edebiri) providing the funniest moment of the episode in which Leo describes recent interactions with his brothers to her.

The final two episodes of Citadel: Honey Bunny‘s season finally bring Honey (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) and Bunny (Varun Dhawan) back together, and introduce Bunny to his daughter, while also wrapping up the flashbacks detailing the events that happened eight years prior and Honey’s betrayal and presumed death which allowed her to disappear. After Bunny sues Guru (Kay Kay Menon) for peace, KD (Saqib Saleem) refuses to step down leading to a bloodbath of an extended action sequence featuring Honey and Bunny mowing down legions of Guru’s men. Arcane – Blisters and Bedrock

  • Title: Arcane: League of Legends – Blisters and Bedrock

“Blisters and Bedrock” underlines a truth about Arcane I’ve noticed more and more across its two seasons. When the focus remains largely on Jinx (Ella Purnell) and Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) I’m completely on-board. However, the further the series deviates from these two characters the less interested I’ve become. Thankfully, “Blisters and Bedrock” gives us the sisters reunited in search of their dead father who isn’t actually dead and is now an unstoppable werewolf. Don’t you hate it when that happens? The storyline is the focus of much of the episode, finishing in a proper (if bizarre) family reunion, leaving the less interesting plots and characters to fill in gaps here and there.
