Black Cat #6

Black Cat #6 comic reviewBlack Cat #6 moves away from the previous issues as it doesn’t involve Felicia Hardy breaking into a well-known location within the Marvel Universe. However, it does continue to follow-up on various threads introduced in previous issues. One of these includes Odessa Drake and the Thieves Guild going after the Black Fox.

As for the Black Cat, she’s given the night out with a surprisingly good first date with Batroc the Leaper which involves dinner, some late night breaking-and-entering, burglary, and other carnal pursuits. While Felicia doesn’t expect much from Batroc, I was surprised by his inclusion here (and, like Felicia, surprised to discover how charming he can be when he isn’t bouncing around in a ridiculous outfit).

The two storlyines unfold at simultaneously as Felicia enjoys her evening and the Fox runs from the Thieves Guild. It’s good she enjoyed her night off, because now that her mentor has been captured, the Black Cat needs to get back in the game. Worth a look.

[Marvel, $3.99]
