Darth Vader #6

Darth Vader #6 comic reviewWith his search into the death of Padme Amidala concluded, and conflicted by the answers (or lack therof) he found, Darth Vader returns to Coruscant to find an the Emperor none too pleased with the self wallowing of his apprentice. Believing Vader has lost his edge, Palpatine instructs his disciple on the ways of the Dark Side of the Force.

Darth Vader #6 works as a bridge between the previous arc and the new one which starts here with a battered Vader returned to Mustafar and left for dead by his master. Ordered to regain his strength without leaning on the Force, Vader must face his fear and pain once more.

The brutality of the Emperor’s attack (leaving Vader crippled once more) is a bit unexpected, as is the mission he leaves Vader to face on his own. That said, I am curious to see just how this the Dark Lord of the Sith manages the challenges set before him and returns to his rightful place terrorizing the galaxy.
