Continuing the story begun in the previous issue, Detective Comics #1108 offers a team-up with Batman, Black Canary, and Green Arrow all working a case that ties back years prior featuring a now deceased young hero known as Prion as a conspiracy tying back to a secretive family. The comic offers both a current look at our heroes and flashbacks (which include Batman in the best version of his costume) as the story continues to take shape.
Somehow the death of this young man is tied to a larger mystery involving all three heroes. There’s not enough to piece together answers yet, but by the end of the issue its certain that there’s someone who doesn’t want the heroes doing just that. There’s also the introduction of a delightful new Bat-vehicle in the Hatchbat and a business piece in play involving a predatory corporation know as Klep Corp attempting a takeover of Queen Industries and at least one plucky young woman not willing to take no for an answer.
