Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder #3

Three more black, white, and red stories of Harley Quinn‘s misadventures are collected in the latest issue of Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder (which continues to be one of the best anthology series set around this concept). My favorite tale of issue #3 is “The Rebound” which gives us a Harley still spurned by the Joker latching on to a stray cat as her new best friend in a delightful little story which offers a few other notable cameos as well.

With “Deeply Strange Adventures” Gail Simone gives us Harley hijacking Adam Strange‘s Zeta-Beam transporting her to the planet Rann. With Strange not present, it’s up to Harley to deal with the barbarians at the gates (which she does quite violently and with an assortment of amusing battle cries). And the final adventure of the issue, “Stacked Deck,” which is a little darker and moodier than the other stories, focuses on her study of super-villains and the first meetings between the Joker and Dr. Harleen Quinzel at Arkham Asylum.
