Spinning out of the adventures of Darkwing Duck comes the new series featuring the super-hero team of Gizmoduck, Morgana, Stegmutt, Neptunia, and of course Launchpad and Darkwing Duck. The first issue of Justice Ducks has each of the heroes separately noticing trouble brewing in St. Canard and all arriving on the scene to find a giant menace stomping around town followed by a flying saucer filled with its friends.
I would give away the gag here, but it’s a pretty goofy premise even for a Darkwing Duck story. But hey, the cover is pretty cool! Following the trouble, Darkwing officially makes them a team delivering specially-designed communicators for each of them while taking a step back in more of a reserve role (feeling very much like Batman’s late 80s role with the Justice League), although I doubt real trouble would prevent him from joining the fray if needed.
