Knight Terrors #1

In a series of one-shots we’ve seen the heroes of the DC Universe being attacked by their own nightmares. Knight Terrors #1 kicks off the main story of the crossover event with Deadman, inside the stolen body of Batman, facing the man responsible. Claiming to be a god, but really just a man changed by Lazarus Rain, a new villain called Insomnia is trapping both heroes and villains in their own nightmares. To further his plans, he seeks the Nightmare Stone.

Full of zombies and nightmarish creatures, Knight Terrors seems designed for those who liked previous crossovers such as Blackest Night. Horror isn’t my favorite genre, but the idea of the crossover has potential to let us see into the minds of several different characters across the DC. It’s fun for fans of Deadman and the macabre, but likely isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. Realizing he’s outnumbered, Deadman enlists some help in the form of the zombified resurrected Sandman who should not only help him in his quest but give him someone to talk to other than banter with the villain.
