Moon Knight #26

Moon Knight #26 steps away from Marc Spector and his mission for a single issue look at Hunter’s Moon. We get the other Fist of Khonshu dealing with his recent resurrection with Doctor Andrea Sterman and helping the Moloids deal with invaders tunneling in their underground realm for nefarious purposes. A Moon Knight comic without Moon Knight can’t help but be slightly disappointing. That said, the issue does attempt to flesh out Hunter’s Moon more than just the more stoic and faithful servant to Khonshu.

Hunter’s Moon finding himself overwhelmed by the spirit of an earlier Fist, and a reminder that Hunter’s Moon will not be resurrected again, seems to be dark foreshadowing for the still yet unexplained arc both he and Marc Spector have found themselves in. While not a necessary read to the larger storyline, it does work to provide more perspective of the character headed into whatever comes next.
