Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys: The Death of Nancy Drew #3 comic reviewThe truth that Nancy Drew is still alive is kept in Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys: The Death of Nancy Drew #3, despite an encounter with the Syndicate agent known as the Barber that leaves one of the two Hardy boys in the hospital.

Presented from Frank‘s point-of-view, the big theme of the issue is how neither Hardy is able to deny Nancy Drew anything she asks for (even if it costs him an ear). Another tussle with the Barber provides a small win for the trio who are able to prevent an assassination at the town’s big press conference. However, the person who was employing the Barber is still out there meaning Nancy needs to keep playing dead and no one can go home just yet.

Despite the Syndicate believing Nancy Drew is dead, the shadowy group has remained two-steps ahead of the intrepid trio. Even the small win here still leaves a larger mystery to be solved, if Nancy doesn’t end up getting both of the Hardy boys killed first.
