Once and Future #7

Once and Future #7 comic reviewFollowing his victory over zombie King Arthur, Duncan‘s life didn’t exactly go back to normal. There are still mystical and unworldly threats in the world the once unsuspecting young man is uniquely qualified to deal with, and, with the help of Meg and his Gran, Duncan’s destiny continues to unfold.

Originally set to be a six-issue mini-series, Once and Future continues with a new adventure that provides some familiar faces (such as the return of Galahad who has been transformed by his king) and new threats (including a robbery at the British Museum whose end goal appears to have been to return Beowulf to the world).

The comic doesn’t name the mysterious figure working the shadows causing more chaos in the world. Is this a familiar face from Arthurian legend, or an unexpected addition like Beowulf? For that, we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, I’m glad to see Duncan’s journey is far from complete and there are more stories to be told.
