With only three days left to live, Christopher Chance decides to leave Ice and do a little investigating into Guy Gardner‘s apparent death. For help, he’ll call on the universe’s most gullible Green Lantern – G’Nort. Given recent events, I didn’t expect a trip to Oa was in the offering, but that’s what we get with Chance making a discovery leading to another confrontation with the not-so-dead Lantern, and G’Nort vomiting all over a Guardian. You don’t see that every day.
With G’Nort you know there’s going to be plenty of humor, but the mystery and investigation continues to drive the comic. Although we get to see Chance out play Gardner once again, we don’t see what information Guy gave him. Instead we jump forward teasing us with a conversation between Chance and Ice just as the time of his third-to-last day on Earth comes to a close.
