RF’s Top 13 Bond Girls

There are so many beautiful Bond Girls you would think it would be easy to make such a list, but whittling down to a number as small as 13 is a bit of a chore.  We’ve got both the very first Bond Girl and the latest to earn the honor, but our list has some notable absences of beautiful actresses (no Halle Berry or Denise Richards) and some beloved characters (no Pussy Galore or Holly Goodhead).

We cut the list down to 13 so not everyone’s favorite made the cut.  The Bond Girls are listed in chronological order of the Bond films.  Sit down with a vodka martini (preferably shaken, not stirred) and see if your favorite is included!

Honey Ryder

Ursula Andress from Dr. No

No Bond Girl list would be complete without Ursula Andress emerging from the ocean in a white bikini singing “Underneath the Mango Tree” and collecting sea shells is one of the classic Bond scenes.  The first Bond Girl, in the eyes of many, remains the best.

Tatiana Romanova

Daniela Bianchi in From Russia With Love

James Bond called her the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, so who am I to argue.  A low-level officer sent to seduce 007 falls for him instead.  And that black ribbon tied around her neck has made many a fan of this Bond Girl.

Jill Masterson

Shirley Eaton from Goldfinger

The first of the tragic Bond Girls, and perhaps the only Bond Girl who can match Honey Ryder in iconic status even though she only appears briefly in the film.  Who can forget her nude body painted in gold?

Domino Derval

Claudine Auger from Thunderball

The first sea nymph of the Bond series; Auger was beautiful both in and out of the water.  The role was reprised by Kim Basinger in the unofficial remake Never Say Never Again, but we’ll take the original.

Major Anya Amasova

Barbara Bach from The Spy Who Loved Me

Of all the Bond Girls, Agent XXX just might be my personal favorite.  Bond’s equal in skill and brains, looks terrific in an evening gown, and, as is stated in the film, the lady has a figure which is hard to match.

Melina Havelock

Carol Bouquet from For Your Eyes Only

That hair, those eyes, and that crossbow!  The second sea nymph of our list has only revenge on her mind, but finds some time for aquatic adventures with 007 as well.  A former fashion model, Bouquet isn’t from the classic Bond Girl mold and perhaps that’s why she’s remained one of my favorites over the years.

Kimberley Jones

Mary Stavin from A View to a Kill

In a few of the Bond films we find 007 in the arms of a beautiful woman, none of these stand out more to me than the submarine navigator played by the beautiful Swedish actress Mary Stavin who takes Bond for a ride, in more ways than one.

Kara Milovy

Maryam d’Abo from The Living Daylights

Perhaps the most innocent of all the Bond Girls, the cellist who Bond can’t bring himself to kill finds herself on a worldwide adventure.

Lupe Lamora

Talisa Soto from License to Kill

Say what you want about Timothy Dalton, his two Bond films had some pretty hot Bond Girls.  Although Lupe doesn’t get 007 in the end I’m giving her a slight edge over CIA agent Pam Bouvier.

Xenia Onatopp

Famke Janssen from Goldeneye

One of the long line of Bond Girls with ridiculous names (which began with Pussy Galore) kills men by crushing them with her thighs mid-coitus.  And she really enjoys her work.  STNG named the lovely Miss Janssen as “The Perfect Mate,” who am I to argue.

Vesper Lynd

Eva Green from Casino Royale

The number of women who have won James Bond’s heart is small, but those who have broken it is almost non-existent which earns Vesper a spot on the list.

Solange Dimitrios

Caterina Murino from Casino Royale

Another of the tragic Bond Girls who’s association to 007 leads to her downfall.  Whether riding a horse on the beach on dressed to the nines in the casino Solange is one Bond Girl we’re sad to see die.

Camille Montes

Olga Kurylenko from Quantum of Solace

The newest Bond Girl is another out for revenge, much like Bond, in the latest film.  Rumors are that she could be one of the few Bond girls to return in another film.
